I don't know quite how to take this one. I stuck it in the humor channel, but the story is legit.

I guess you would wonder what to get the pres, but a weed wacker???? Smacks of a redneck if I ever heard one.

Maybe his weed whacker broke? When you have a ranch or a farm, equipment is important. I was given a chainsaw one year for my birthday and a 16 ft galvinized gate for mothers another year. Since we had cattle, we needed a gate. We also had trees that needed cutting. It worked for me! I guess that that is just the country girl in me!

I guess the functional gifts are the ones that are most remembered, since you are constantly reminded of the person(s). I just thought it odd for the staff to pool for a weed wacker. Oh well.

He is always cutting brush on the ranch, so a weed whacker is good. I bet it is 100 better then the weed whacker in my garage too.

From the description, it is a riding one, so I suspect it takes a V-6 and can remove small saplings and holly bushes.

Maybe they wanted a paper shredder but Washington area stores were sold out? Maybe they thought a weed whacker was the next best thing?
