Humor – The Swift Boat group, which became famous in 2004 for attacking Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry, said that they were speaking out because "the current Democratic contest is giving swiftboating a bad name."
Swiftboating is a nobel profession? It's repugnant, nasty, and dirty tricks at their best. You can bet they're loading the guns for whoever faces McPain!
It's about time the Dems did the same thing. They are too reserved, too refined. They need to fight just as dirty as Rove and the swiftboaters. Give 'em hell Obama!
As for Hillary, GET OUT YOU WITCH! You are making the Democrats a laughing stock! Every day you insist on staying in the race, you run the risk of the Dem's losing to another republicant!
The Democrats' Wimp Factor:
As Obama's patriotism is questioned, he's starting to look more and more like John Kerry in '04, the specter of which
is beginning to haunt the Democrats in 2008. It is the specter of wimpy campaigns past. It showed up, like Banquo's ghost, at the debate in Philadelphia, particularly when Hillary Clinton joined with ABC's George Stephanopoulos and Charlie Gibson to nip away at the edges of Barack Obama's patriotism. Between the questions about Obama's association with William Ayers, a former Weatherman, and the suspicions raised by his lack of a flag lapel pin, the likely nominee is slowly being turned into John Kerry.
Obama is being placed on the defensive, and there he's likely to stay, rendered permanently suspicious by association thanks to questions about Ayers and the "anti-American" statements of his pastor, Jeremiah Wright.
McCain doesn't need the swift-boaters. BO is swift-boating himself.
That's all window dressing. As long as McCain runs on a Republican economic platform, the Democrats will have this election in the bag. More debt, a weaker dollar, fewer jobs, and a weakening of our military is all the Republicans have offer and no amount of flag pin superficial nonsense can obscure their total and complete failure in managing this country. We're going to keep the Republican record of failure front and center 24/7. A vote for the Republicans is a vote for incompetence, corruption, and failure.
You question a fellow American's patriotism pretty lightly, there, Oldhickory.
Obama has no flag lapel pin?
Do you sell these obscene little tin trinkets?
Wasn't OldHickory Andrew Jackson? A mean man, but a populist in Obama's spirit, and a war hero like Kerry.
Jackson would have dumped you head first in a cider barrel if he caught you sniffing his lapels for a flag pin.

In related news: "Swiftboat Vets "Girly Men" Says Hillary": "They're going to need a bigger boat" crowed the Senator and Presidential hopeful who then went on to claim she could beat Barack Obama at arm wrestling any time he felt like trying her. "Look at these guns!" Mrs. Clinton cried, flexing her mighty biceps "What's he gonna do?"
Indeed...I've heard rumors that Howard Dean is bringing back "Daisy Girl" from Lyndon Johnson's campaign...

Gotta love them Democratic attack ads...
I had nightmares over Daisy Girl when I was about five. I mean real anxiety attack nightmares.
That was horrible. And we still haven't learned.
Who do you think would win in a knife fight: Daisy Girl, or Willy Horton?
SonOfTheMask: "I've heard rumors that Howard Dean is bringing back "Daisy Girl" from Lyndon Johnson's campaign"
I don't know. It seems to me that that mushroom cloud has been appropriated by the other party.
